About My Mom

My mom is Laurie Ruettimann. She likes cats. A lot. She is a columnist for The Conference Board Review, she is an advisor to SmartBrief on Workforce, and her career advice has been featured in various publications such as The New York Times, US News & World Report, CFO Magazine, and Men’s Health. Her work has also been featured on The Suicide Girls, AOL, and Lemondrop websites. She is the founder of HR Bloggers and is the co-founder of HRM Today, the first social network for HR professionals. Is that enough?

Of course she has another blog.

Mom and I live in Raleigh, NC with my dad and my other kittehs siblings named Jake, Molly, and Emma (who is poonchy).

  1. Hello Mister Scrubby,
My name is Mike & I have created a new product I think you & your fan base will love! It’s called The Sky Scratcher & with your help during my Kickstarter campaign [www.theskyscratcher.com], we will be able to start production after the first of the year.
What is The Sky Scratcher? It’s a revolutionary cat scratching post, with an architectural spin. The Sky Scratcher is based on a building from the iconic Chicago skyline & built with Eco-friendly materials. It consists of over 125 corrugated cardboard die-cut pads, a bamboo plywood base and bamboo center pole to hold it all together. The ideals behind its design make it both safe for your cats and aesthetically pleasing.
Not only will your feline friends enjoy scratching to their hearts content, you will also enjoy a high quality piece of art that will add a stylish accent to any room in your home or office!
How can you help? A quick little blog entry, Facebook post or email to your friends/family would be great! As we head into our Kickstarters’ last few hours, now is the time we need your help the most. Our project ends TOMORROW, Dec. 21st & we still need to raise about $2,000 & getting the word out there & traffic to http://www.theskyscratcher.com should do the trick. There’s a 2 minute video of cats enjoying The Sky Scratcher, detailed photos & an explanation on how you & yours can help.
I greatly appreciate your support & Happy Holidays!
    Mike Estes
